Terms of service

DataLens AI is in open beta. These terms describe the basis on which the product is offered today. Last reviewed September 2026.

The service

DataLens AI is an agentic analytics product: it connects to data sources you authorise (data warehouses, ad platforms, spreadsheets, uploaded files), translates plain-English questions into queries, and returns answers with the underlying query for inspection. The product is provided by Chinmay Raibagkar and is currently in open beta, which means features, limits, and pricing may change as the product develops.

Beta status

Beta access may be scoped per workspace — for example, trial periods, usage limits, or feature availability. When a trial or limit applies, the product tells you in advance; there is no automatic charging. Nothing in the beta creates an obligation to offer any particular feature in a future paid plan.

Your responsibilities

You must have the right to connect every data source and account you link, and to analyse the data in it. Connect with least privilege: read-only credentials scoped to the data you actually want analysed. You are responsible for complying with your own organisation's policies and with the terms of your warehouse, ad-platform, and AI-provider accounts.

Data handling

Queries run live against your connected sources; DataLens does not replicate your database. Conversations, generated SQL, and limited result excerpts are stored so past analyses render when you reopen them, and share links publish read-only copies to unlisted URLs. Full details are in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

AI-generated output

Answers are generated by AI models and the queries behind them are shown so you can verify them before acting. You are responsible for checking numbers before relying on them for business decisions — including re-running the displayed query against your live data.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other users' workspaces, probe or disrupt the service, use the product to process data you have no right to process, or resell access without agreement. Accounts used in breach of these terms may be suspended.

Liability

The service is provided “as is” during beta, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the preceding three months (zero, while the beta is free).

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the product leaves beta; material changes will be noted on the changelog. Questions: contact.datalensai@gmail.com.
